The EXCELSIOR Project participated at the 17th International Scientific and Technical Conference “FROM IMAGERY TO DIGITAL REALITY: ERS & Photogrammetry” in Hadera, Israel on Monday, 16 October 2017. During the presentation, George Mellilos on behalf of the project team, addressed the potential impact of the EXCELSIOR for remote sensing applications in Europe and the Eastern Meditteranean region throught the establishment of ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence. During the conference, a wide range of topics were also presented, which addressed the latest developments in earth observing systems, technologies and applications. Further, a meeting was held with Professor Ammatzia Peled, from the University of Haifa in the Dept. of Geography and Environmental Studies and Head of the GIS and Remote Sensing Laboratories.
